Biography: Andrews Patrick Dzreke I have witnessed eminent personalities who acted and intervened between two communities in conflict for growth and development. I have equally witnessed electoral violence, illegal mining disputes, political instability, and dispute over land, eminent of immigrants and many more. Having been witnessing the above, I took it upon myself to acknowledge and learn best practices in stakeholder engagement, making analysis and conflict resolution strategies that have emboldened my skills and experience. I am a law enforcement officer, committed, result-oriented and have a good background in security management, conflict resolution, policy analysis, humanitarian crises management, research, intelligence gathering and investigations. I have served three local peacekeeping missions in Northern Ghana in various capacities and brought communities closer and in harmony. Having the intent to become a world class professional on issues related to conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence, I took it upon myself to learn best practices from the United Nations Security Management System (UNSMS) to understand the concept of security management. It has enabled me to have an empirical lens to analyze issues of conflict in some part of the world. With twenty one (21) years of work experience as a seasoned security analyst, I have assisted in drafting, monitoring and championing the ongoing ten years’ strategic security work plan for Ghana Police service that is gradually yielding fruitful result. No doubt, to be able to achieve the above results, I have also, learnt and understand the concept of security management through international best practices from international organizations such as Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), GIZ and Coalition of Domestic Elections Observers (CODEO) in the delivery of security. I have also, experience from international Police organizations such as Egypt, Guinea and the United Kingdom in delivery of security. These experiences gotten have enabled me to propose an extension of duration of training for Ghana Police cadets led to the award of Bachelor of Arts (BA), the restructuring of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police service led training of personnel in and outside the country and Operation Vanguard (OPVAN) to curb the menace of illegal mining activities and community Policing models. With these rich experiences, I have been assigned additional responsibilities as liaison officer to Community Police unit, Operations and National Protection Directorates (NPD) respectively. This becomes possible due to my involvement to propel the organization to the next level in contemporary Policing. I am a certified mediator and a member of Ghana National Association of Appropriate ADR Practitioners (GNAAP) in good standing. Currently, my role has been aligned with Ghana Police Elections Security Secretariat (PESS) and assisting with external stakeholders in the formulation of policy. I am a team player, self-motivated, empathetic and transparent in various capacities; peacebuilding, dialogue, community engagement, project management, research, surveillance, investigations, administration and communication. I am able to work in a team, communicate fluently to bridge gap, perform multiple tasks, able to share ideas, manage individuals in diverse views.
